Design 5 – Lightweight Structures

The task was to build a Spaceframe Structure that could span at least one metre. The goal was to learn about basic structural principles like tension and compression, while also experimenting with digital tools and physical making.

DRH Tutorials - Semester 1, 2025

Within these tutorials, we will go through the interface and look at the different tools and functions on the specified software.

NZGBC Future Thinkers - LCA & BIM Workshop

As part of the Future Thinkers Network the NZGBC Emerging Leader Francisco Carbajal will be offering a LCA & BIM Workshop dedicated to university students passionate about sustainable design and eager to develop practical skills in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Building Information Modelling (BIM).

MODOS+ End of Year Exhibition 2024

The end-of-year show is Te Pare School of Architecture and Planning’s largest and most prominent event. It is a key opportunity for the public to view our students’ investigations into a wide range of social, political and design issues within the built environment.

Art Week 2024: Urban Art Village

Urban Art Village is a series of interactive structures, created by students from the University of Auckland’s School of Architecture & Planning. They have been created and built as part of their course work and a key part of the annual Late Night Art in the city centre.
