LCA Research Intern

Capana Group are looking for a volunteer interested in being involved in an exercise to determine the carbon emissions of an existing prominent NZ building and a proposed retrofit. All current and past students are welcomed.

Estimated time: 40 hours over 1 month. The project will begin once the applicant has been selected.

What are they looking for?
Passion for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), an interest in built environment and sustainability, basic minimum level of skill in Revit.

What will you be doing?
Assisting with LCA (Life Cycle Analysis), Passive design solutions, Solar radiation analysis, Sun studies and General Research

Other details:
In-office work at the Capana Group office located in Eden Terrace. Flexible hours to work with current students. Software, Equipment, Training and Support will be provided.

This is an unpaid internship because the project is not billable. However this will offer learning opportunities for the successful applicant to gain industry experience, sustainable experience in retrofitting, practical experience doing LCA, and practical experience in sustainable analysis with a significant building in NZ.
